Privacy Policy
Last Updated: June 1, 2026
Your privacy is extremely important to us. This Privacy Policy describes how Monotheism ("we," "our," or "the Application") collects, uses, stores, and protects your information when you use our mobile application and related services.
Information We Collect
Unlike traditional applications, Monotheism does not require you to provide a name, email address, password, or physical address to create an account. Instead, the application is powered by Web3 wallet-based authentication.
1.1 Information You Provide Directly
- Solana Wallet Address (Public Key): When you choose to connect your wallet (e.g., using the Solana Mobile Wallet Adapter), we collect and store your public wallet address. This serves as your unique user identity.
- Reflection Notes & Saved Verses: We collect and store any Bible verses you bookmark, and the custom reflection notes you write.
1.2 Automated Data Collection
- Reading Progress and Statistics: We collect and store data regarding your interaction with reading plans, including generated plans, completed chapters, active day logs, and day streak statistics.
- Transaction Metadata: When you complete a transaction using the SKR token for premium features, we register the transaction signature on our backend to verify and record your premium subscription status.
1.3 Technical Logs
Our backend server logs basic network request details (such as IP address, request method, and timestamp) for security, debugging, and system performance monitoring.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect for the following purposes:
- Service Delivery: To generate custom reading plans, track your day streaks, and display your saved verses and notes.
- Premium Status Verification: To verify your SKR token payment history on-chain and grant access to premium features (Bible Stories, Parables, and Bible Dictionary).
- Multi-Device Synchronization: To sync your notes, plans, and reading history across devices using your public wallet address.
- Troubleshooting & Security: To diagnose technical issues, optimize database queries, and protect the service from abuse or malicious activities.
Data Storage & Retention
- On-Chain Data: Any payments made with the SKR token are permanently recorded on the public Solana blockchain. This data is public, immutable, and out of our direct control.
- Database Storage: Your wallet address, saved verses, reflection notes, and reading plans are stored in our secure PostgreSQL database.
- Local Storage: Certain preferences (such as light/dark mode preference and current active plan IDs) are stored locally on your mobile device using
AsyncStorage. - Retention: We retain your data as long as your wallet remains registered or active with our Service.
Information Sharing & Third Parties
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties. We may share or interact with the following services:
- Solana RPC Providers: The application connects to Solana RPC endpoints (such as Alchemy or public nodes) to query token balances and verify transaction statuses.
- On-Device Wallets: When interacting with Web3 flows, the application forwards requests to your installed wallet app (such as Phantom, Solflare, etc.). These apps have their own privacy policies governing your wallet data.
Security of Your Data
We employ appropriate technical and organizational measures to safeguard the database and transfer of data. However, please be aware that no transmission method over the internet or database storage is 100% secure. You are also responsible for safeguarding your wallet credentials and private keys.
Your Rights & Choices
- Disconnecting Wallet: You can disconnect your wallet from the Application at any time through the Profile settings screen.
- Data Portability: Your premium subscription status is linked to your public wallet address on-chain and will automatically transfer to any new device where you connect the same wallet.
- Access and Correction: You can view, add, or delete your saved verses and reflection notes directly within the app interface.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted within this document, and the "Last Updated" date will be updated accordingly. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically to stay informed about how we protect your information.
